How MyPetHQ Works
MyPetHQ is a set of tools and a communication platform connecting independent pet sitters and groomers with their clients — booking, invoicing, messaging, and payments in one place. Here's exactly what that means, and what it doesn't.
What MyPetHQ Is
Every provider on MyPetHQ is an independent business — not a MyPetHQ employee, contractor, or representative. MyPetHQ gives them software to run that business: a way to manage bookings, send invoices, accept payments, and share updates with their clients. MyPetHQ gives clients a way to find providers, book directly with them, and pay for services.
What MyPetHQ Does
- Provides booking, invoicing, and messaging tools for providers and clients
- Lists providers in a public directory, along with reviews left by clients
- Facilitates card payments through Stripe when a provider enables it
- Reviews new provider applications for completeness before approving them
What MyPetHQ Doesn't Do
- Employ, hire, assign, or select providers for a client
- Conduct background checks or verify licenses, insurance, or bonding
- Provide pet care or grooming services itself
- Guarantee any provider's quality, safety, availability, or reliability
- Act as a party to the agreement between a provider and their client
You are responsible for evaluating a provider — reading their reviews, asking questions, and using your own judgment — before booking them, the same way you would with any independent service provider you find on your own.
How Booking Works
- Browse the provider directory and read reviews from other clients
- Contact a provider directly and agree on services, scheduling, and pricing between yourselves
- Book and pay through the app — by card, or a method the provider offers directly, like Cash App or Venmo
- Communicate directly with your provider throughout the booking, including photo updates during visits
Providers Are Independent Businesses
Providers set their own rates, availability, cancellation policies, and the services they offer. They're responsible for holding any license, permit, or insurance required in their area, and for the quality and safety of the care they provide. MyPetHQ's role is to give them the tools to run that business well — not to run it for them.
